2118 NUWAY Counseling Center

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at 2118 NUWAY Counseling Center addresses substance use disorders as well as concurrent mental health issues through a method that is grounded in research and takes trauma into account. This program, accredited by the Joint Commission, employs various therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the 12-Step model, motivational interviewing, and prolonged exposure therapy. Participants engage in up to 20 hours of co-occurring therapy each week, enjoy access to healthy snacks throughout the day, and have opportunities for peer support, among other services. 2118 NUWAY Counseling Center also offers gender-specific therapy groups and ensures a welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community.
