Affect2U, situated in the welcoming environments of Hoboken and Vosselaar, provides both inpatient and outpatient services catering to addiction, eating disorders, and various mental health issues. The center features intentionally limited program sizes that promote personalized care and a sense of security from the outset. With a streamlined intake process and a focus on empowering clients, Affect2U encourages individuals to address substance dependence, behavioral addictions, and root traumas, paving the way for lasting recovery. Services are available in both English and Dutch. The center's 28-day residential program is designed to help clients achieve stabilization and initiate their recovery journey from addiction and other disruptive behaviors. Alongside necessary detoxification, clients delve into the underlying issues while developing skills in communication, relapse prevention, and emotional management. Treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, facilitated through small group interactions, individualized sessions each week, and involvement of family members, equipping clients with essential tools, emotional security, and the momentum to navigate everyday challenges. Affect2U features two treatment facilities, thoughtfully decorated to foster a warm, homely ambiance. The Hoboken location accommodates up to 14 residents, while the trauma-specialized site in Vosselaar can house 15. In addition to therapeutic sessions, clients are encouraged to cultivate positive habits through activities like sports, yoga, art therapy, reflective walks, and weekend excursions. To enhance their well-being, clients can unwind with streaming options and enjoy nutritious meals prepared by chefs—promoting better moods, improved concentration, and healthy daily routines. Affect2U supports each individual's transition from the intensive treatment phase to independent living. The aftercare plan is tailored to suit each client's needs, with input from the clinical team and may encompass individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions. Outpatient aftercare emphasizes the practical application of tools learned during treatment, ongoing emotional exploration, and reinforcement of the recovery journey. This aspect of care is regularly reviewed and adjusted to enhance support for long-term recovery.
