Aiken Center caters to both teenagers and adults who are dealing with issues related to substance use, trauma, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Adolescents aged 12 to 18 can access care through both outpatient services and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), with the option for walk-in assessments to ensure timely support. This center is distinguished by its compassionate, non-judgmental atmosphere that encourages family participation, facilitating a more robust journey to long-term recovery. Specialized programs, such as the Women’s IOP, address specific concerns including trauma, parenting, and unique gender-related experiences. The treatment approach includes licensed counselors, therapists, and peer support specialists who utilize proven therapeutic methods. Services offered encompass individual and group therapy, family counseling, and support from individuals who have their own recovery experiences. Participants acquire skills to handle stress, enhance self-esteem, and establish healthy habits. For those facing challenges with opioids or alcohol, medication-assisted recovery (MAR) combines medication with therapy for a more effective recovery process. Clients maintain their home lives while receiving treatment at Aiken Center, allowing for a blend of support and everyday living. The center fosters a nurturing and inclusive environment, enabling clients to feel secure and unjudged. Telehealth services are available to provide convenient access to care. Family involvement is strongly encouraged to ensure continued support outside the treatment setting. Additional community resources, such as free Narcan kits and the alcohol and drug safety action program (ADSAP) for those with DUI charges, aim to eliminate obstacles to care by providing essential tools, education, and support to enhance accessibility and integration into daily life.
