About
Amanda’s House, situated in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was established by a mother mourning the loss of her daughter to an opioid overdose. Jolly, alongside her daughter Amanda, had envisioned creating a sober living environment through the Mandolin Foundation prior to Amanda's passing in 2020. Following her daughter’s death, Jolly was determined to realize their dream by providing a nurturing and supportive home for other women in recovery along with their children.
Amanda’s House can accommodate 10 women and 3 children, with a monthly fee of $400, plus an extra $100 for each child. Residents have the opportunity to participate in essential therapy sessions while balancing other responsibilities outside the home, all within a supportive network of fellow residents. The center offers various programs, including 12-Step recovery meetings, mindfulness training, life skills workshops, and other resources. Women residing at Amanda’s House are encouraged to engage in work or volunteer activities for at least 20 hours weekly, with a maximum stay of 2 years.
