Established in 1980, Amethyst House offers addiction recovery services in Bloomington and Evansville, Indiana, focusing on evidence-based and client-centered approaches. The center implements a twelve-step framework, requiring residents to participate in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings, engage in an outpatient program following residential treatment, and secure employment. Individuals must typically maintain sobriety for at least five days before entering the residential facility unless they are transitioning directly from a hospital or detox setting. Priority is given to pregnant women and intravenous drug users, and, if space allows, dependents might be accommodated on-site.
