About

Bridges of Dodge County, commonly referred to as Joe’s House, is a Christian-focused sober living facility located on the northern side of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Established in December 2015, this center accommodates up to eight residents simultaneously. Over a period of 6 to 8 months, the program is designed to assist individuals in honing essential skills such as parenting, career preparation, financial literacy, health awareness, and securing stable housing. There is also an opportunity to collaborate with probation officers to support clients involved in the justice system. The core philosophy of the center is grounded in the idea that faith plays a crucial role in the recovery process. Citing Matthew 19:26, which states, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible,” Bridges encourages residents to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus as they strive for sobriety and stability. The center is also in collaboration with the local United Way chapter. A structured daily routine is implemented at Bridges to foster discipline and create a stable environment for the residents. Return times are set at 10:30 p.m. on weekdays and 11:30 p.m. on weekends, with staff conducting regular drug screenings to maintain a drug-free setting. Alcohol, drugs, nicotine, and vaping are strictly prohibited. Residents participate in various house meetings, group discussions, church activities, and household responsibilities. While 12-Step meetings are not organized on-site, residents have the option to attend external meetings that align with the house schedule. Bridges prioritizes meaningful, in-person interactions among residents. They are permitted to use mobile phones but are encouraged to conduct calls in their private rooms or on the porch. Additionally, maintaining personal hygiene and upholding a peaceful atmosphere is of utmost importance. Through fostering respect and self-care, the program aims to nurture residents into responsible and courteous members of the community. By the fourth week of their stay, each resident is required to identify a same-gender sponsor familiar with their treatment journey. The house manager might reach out to these sponsors for support coordination. This connection offers both accountability and encouragement, aiding residents in maintaining focus on their recovery objectives after they leave. Bridges of Dodge County adopts a phased recovery model, wherein residents engage with a specific book and formulate a life plan. Increased autonomy is granted as participants advance through the phases of the program. Families and friends have the option to finance a resident’s initial admission and the first month of care. Subsequently, residents are responsible for their expenses, promoting a sense of financial accountability and independence that is essential for long-term recovery and success beyond the center.

Providers Policy

At Bridges of Dodge County, we understand the importance of accessibility when it comes to supporting recovery efforts. While we do not directly accept insurance, we aim to provide flexible payment options to facilitate each resident’s journey towards sobriety and stability. Families and friends are welcome to contribute financially by covering a resident’s admission and the first four weeks of care. Following this initial period, residents are responsible for their own costs, encouraging the development of financial responsibility and independence—essential skills for long-term recovery and success. We recommend that potential residents and their families explore various funding options, such as personal savings, community grants, or local resources that support rehabilitation efforts. Additionally, we encourage engagement with local organizations, including the United Way, which may offer assistance or resources for those in need. Our staff is dedicated to helping residents navigate these financial responsibilities while focusing on their recovery goals. For further assistance or inquiries about the payment process, please do not hesitate to contact our team at Bridges of Dodge County. We are here to support you every step of the way.
