About
Charlie Health is dedicated to connecting teens and adults with essential, life-saving treatment by providing accessible, personalized, and evidence-based care through virtual platforms. Their virtual treatment offerings, particularly the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), deliver extensive mental health support more than just once a week for individuals confronting serious conditions like anxiety, depression, and trauma. Skilled professionals utilize a diverse range of evidence-based therapies in individual counseling, family therapy, and group sessions. They also incorporate medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to facilitate long-term recovery from substance use issues.
Charlie Health adopts a customized, multi-faceted strategy when developing each client's treatment plan. Their clinical intake team evaluates each individual's unique requirements, creating a tailored program that includes multiple group sessions weekly, along with individual and family therapy sessions. Psychiatry and medication management services are also available as necessary. Clients participate in treatment for up to 9-12 hours weekly. Their evidence-supported care methods encompass various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed techniques. Additionally, they blend in holistic practices such as art and music therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and meditation, customizing techniques to suit individual needs.
Charlie Health emphasizes empathetic, tailored support that extends beyond virtual therapy appointments through a comprehensive 360° care ecosystem. They provide a 24/7 crisis line for peace of mind and urgent assistance. The Charlie Cares clinical concierge addresses inquiries, requests, and feedback, allowing clients to concentrate on their healing journey. Care Coaches offer personalized guidance, resources, motivation, and mentorship during treatment. Customized discharge planning helps clients connect with local therapists and resources. Moreover, Charlie Health organizes numerous free virtual support groups and events for alumni, promoting continuity, healing, and connection for both families and IOP graduates.
The alumni services at Charlie Health offer complimentary, non-clinical support aimed at helping graduates maintain connections and receive encouragement post-treatment. Alumni can engage in groups, workshops, and a vibrant Discord community to foster a sense of belonging, explore new hobbies, and support their overall wellness. These sessions, taking place throughout the week and on weekends, cover a variety of themes such as self-care, songwriting, and job interview skills, ensuring there is something for everyone. Open to all graduates, the alumni experience provides a friendly environment to stay close to a community that appreciates their journey.
