About
Compass Rose Academy is a purposefully established faith-based boarding school tailored to meet the unique needs of young women aged 14 to 18 who are dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges. The residential program is founded on the principle that Christ embodies the ultimate source of healing and love, integrating faith-based teachings, Bible studies, and worship into daily activities. Compass Rose employs a distinctive Growth Model approach to recovery, targeting the root causes of issues like anxiety and depression rather than simply addressing surface-level symptoms. Over the course of the 12-month program, participants are given the chance to work through their challenges with the guidance of a licensed counselor. Essential elements of treatment include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), equine therapy, exercise, and holistic wellness practices.
During the therapeutic journey, parents are actively engaged and supported, receiving ongoing communication, counseling, and opportunities for visitation. Therapists collaborate with both parents and their children to create agreements for home visits and establish behavior expectations, ensuring clarity around rules for off-campus outings.
On the academic front, the curriculum is delivered in partnership with Edgenuity Virtual Academy, a church-affiliated schooling program. Each student benefits from a personalized academic plan aimed at facilitating progress toward fulfilling graduation requirements, supported by licensed educators.
Set on an expansive 800-acre property, the academy provides numerous recreational opportunities. The grounds feature amenities such as a softball field, ponds, a gym, and a swimming pool. Each student enjoys a private bedroom, and they participate in outings to concerts and other Christian events, which are typically engaging and feature inspiring content.

Providers Policy
At Compass Rose Academy, we understand the importance of accessible mental health and therapeutic care for our students and their families. Our focus on providing a comprehensive, faith-based therapeutic environment means we aim to work with a variety of insurance providers to ensure that treatment is as affordable as possible.
While we accept several major health insurance plans, it is crucial for families to contact our admissions team to verify their specific coverage options. We encourage families to check with their insurance provider regarding the extent of benefits available for residential treatment, therapy sessions, and additional services provided as part of our unique Growth Model recovery approach.
For families without insurance or in need of additional financial assistance, we offer various payment options and can discuss potential scholarship opportunities. At Compass Rose Academy, we are committed to ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to receive the care and support they need during their time with us.
If you have any questions regarding insurance coverage, payment plans, or the enrollment process, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team. We are here to support you and your family on this journey toward healing and growth.
