Cumberland Heights Clarksville

Cumberland Heights is an outpatient rehabilitation program centered on the 12-step model, specifically designed for adults struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders. This non-profit organization, established in 1966, operates 15 outpatient sites throughout Tennessee, in addition to two immersive retreats and a residential facility. The center prioritizes individualized care, focusing on the distinct needs of each client to provide tailored treatment. The center utilizes evidence-based methods to enhance treatment outcomes, which include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), complemented by 12-step facilitation. A comprehensive approach is also offered through experiential therapies such as adventure therapy, art therapy, relapse prevention, music therapy, recreational therapy, mindfulness and meditation, spiritual care, and yoga. Telehealth options are available to accommodate clients' needs. Cumberland Heights holds the distinction of being the first treatment facility in Tennessee certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and is acknowledged as a national authority in addiction treatment. Furthermore, it is accredited by the Joint Commission and works with most major insurance providers, offering competitive self-pay options to enhance access to care. The Clarksville site provides intensive outpatient services on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
