About
The Emily Program specializes in treating eating disorders, striving to provide effective care and essential recovery tools for everyone. It offers a comprehensive range of services, including 24/7 inpatient programs and outpatient options across various states, with both in-person and virtual treatment modalities. Dedicated teams of professionals work to empower individuals, families, and communities with the skills required to sustain recovery in their everyday lives.
Beginning the recovery process can be daunting, but The Emily Program is committed to supporting patients at each stage of their journey, providing personalized treatment for children, teens, and adults of all genders. The ultimate aim is to deliver highly effective treatment that maximizes the prospects for success for both clients and their support networks. Treatment involves a collaborative approach, including licensed therapists, nutrition experts, and medical personnel, addressing all facets of this intricate condition. This typically encompasses individual and group therapies focusing on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), nutritional support, and skills training. Patients engage in therapeutic meals and creative activities, such as yoga and art therapy, to reflect on their relationship with food and body image. Academic coordinators assist school-age patients in maintaining their educational progress while undergoing treatment. The Emily Program operates in several states, including Minnesota, Washington, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia.
The Emily Program conducts thorough assessments to establish the most suitable care level for each patient. Their diverse continuum of care in the U.S. encompasses inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. Most locations offer both in-person and virtual treatment options. Inpatient services represent the highest level of care, often serving as the initial step in a patient's recovery, particularly when medical stabilization is crucial. Residential care is aimed at individuals who are medically stable but require constant behavioral and medical monitoring. Intensive programs provide more structure and support than standard outpatient services while maintaining greater independence compared to 24/7 care. Outpatient treatment represents the most flexible level of care, fostering an environment conducive to ongoing recovery.
The Emily Program promotes a “Can Eat” culture, encouraging patients to actively engage in therapeutic meals and snacks led by staff, thereby positively addressing eating disorder behaviors. Emphasizing an accepting approach to all foods, they reject any form of food judgment. The supportive in-person program is conducted in an inviting and non-judgmental setting, driven by a collaborative team of dedicated professionals. Committed to adhering to clinical best practices across all treatment levels, their model is tailored to meet patients wherever they may be on their recovery path, equipping them and their supportive networks with the skills requisite for enduring recovery.
The admissions team at The Emily Program is ready to assist clients and their families in starting their recovery journey, available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET, Fridays from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM ET, and weekends from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
