About
Farrington Specialty Centers Fort Wayne provides specialized treatment for adults and adolescents aged 14 and above facing various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder, other specified eating disorder, rumination, compulsive exercise, as well as concerns regarding body image. The center incorporates outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs. Their approach is centered around evidence-based, tailored, and trauma-informed treatment strategies from a weight-inclusive viewpoint.
Farrington's partial hospitalization program, known as Neossia, runs five days a week for 7.5 hours each day, addressing the needs of individuals who are medically stable yet require substantial therapeutic support. This program includes a range of daily therapy and nutrition groups, semiweekly individual consultations with therapists and dietitians, weekly medical and psychiatric evaluations, and experiential modalities like yoga, dance, and movement. PHP is offered as per the client's requirements.
The intensive outpatient program is available three days a week for three hours each day, typically spanning 6 to 8 weeks. Key elements include daily group therapy sessions, weekly nutrition discussions, a designated family day, practical nutrition counseling, and experiential therapies.
Regular outpatient services are available, with sessions organized on an individual or group basis, including family meetings. The frequency of these outpatient sessions is tailored to each client's specific requirements. Additionally, Farrington provides an optional art therapy program at their Indy facility, which consists of group sessions lasting six weeks and is organized according to each participant's therapeutic needs, preferences, and prior experience with art therapy.
