First City Recovery Center (FCRC) specializes in addressing addiction and mental health issues through customized, evidence-based treatment strategies across various levels of care. These options encompass detoxification, residential care, day treatment (or partial hospitalization), intensive outpatient programs, and general outpatient services, including sober living facilities. The center features a residential mental health stabilization program and outpatient mental health services, along with comprehensive dual-diagnosis support at every stage of treatment. At First City Recovery Center, clients receive an initial assessment to identify the most suitable level of care for their individual needs. When necessary, individuals can undergo medically supervised detoxification around the clock. The residential program ensures ongoing supervision for clients dealing with mental health issues, addiction, and dual diagnoses. During their treatment journey, clients participate in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), contingency management, motivational interviewing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and family counseling. FCRC’s mental health stabilization program delivers intensive residential support for those who require constant oversight and crisis intervention. The center also caters to individuals with co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, eating disorders, self-harm, PTSD, and OCD. Additionally, First City Recovery Center incorporates holistic therapies, including art and music therapy, mindfulness meditation, experiential therapy, psychodrama, and journaling into their treatment offerings. Their veterans program specifically addresses trauma and PTSD recovery. The post-traumatic growth (PTG) initiative is designed to enhance resilience and reduce stress, thereby aiding clients in their transition back to independent living. Clients have the opportunity to progress through residential care, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services. FCRC hosts a Visible Recovery alumni group that meets regularly, with monthly events occurring throughout Illinois.
