First Dawn Recovery is dedicated to assisting veterans, active military, first responders, National Guard members, and reservists through a residential program with 10 beds that addresses issues like substance use, PTSD, and various mental health disorders. With a keen awareness of the unique difficulties encountered by these groups, the center offers a personalized approach that places each individual at the core of their treatment, empowering them to take charge of their recovery path. The combination of peer support and evidence-based therapeutic practices helps clients establish a path towards a more positive future. The trauma-informed care provided at First Dawn Recovery delivers compassionate and specialized support for veterans, military personnel, and first responders. This approach works to diminish stigma, avert re-traumatization, and build trusting relationships by thoughtfully addressing trauma-related issues. By recognizing military culture, clients gain skills to manage triggers, restore relationships, and transition back into civilian life successfully. First Dawn Recovery utilizes a diverse array of therapeutic techniques to equip clients with effective recovery strategies. Each individual benefits from three individual therapy sessions per week, which may incorporate methods such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and TMS. Beyond therapy, clients also engage in family and group counseling and have the opportunity to explore therapeutic activities like art, music, and recreation. They are taught essential emotional regulation techniques, including mindfulness practices, anger management, and conflict resolution. The accommodations at First Dawn Recovery in Las Vegas offer a nurturing, homelike atmosphere for up to 10 clients simultaneously. Residents have access to contemporary facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, private or shared bedrooms, spacious bathrooms, and outdoor amenities like a pool and patio, all of which are wheelchair accessible. Clients are also permitted to keep their cell phones, enhancing their sense of connection during treatment.
