GoForth Recovery

GoForth Recovery is a nonprofit facility situated in Spartanburg, South Carolina, dedicated to aiding men who face challenges with substance use disorders. This center provides a residential transitional living program, offering both accommodation and a structured setting to facilitate addiction recovery. The core goal is to inspire residents to take charge of their recovery journey and build a foundation for becoming contributing members of society. The program at GoForth Recovery incorporates a mix of 12-step meetings and life skills education, amounting to eight hours each week. Topics covered in life skills training include decision-making, refusal techniques, interpersonal communication, values and responsibilities, goal-setting, financial management, education, and anger control. In addition to educational workshops, the center helps residents find job opportunities, offers transportation services, supports basic healthcare needs, and ensures access to outside counseling resources. Residents are also encouraged to participate in community service, sharing their experiences and hope with those still facing addiction challenges. The organization is committed to delivering equal quality of care to both individuals with limited financial resources and those who are able to pay for high-end treatment. Applicants for residency are asked to commit to a minimum of six months in the residential recovery program.
