About
Adult and Teen Challenge Great Lakes is a faith-based rehabilitation program tailored for women struggling with drug and alcohol dependencies. The initiative involves a year-long commitment and features a structured curriculum encompassing four distinct phases: Recovery, Renewal, Restoration, and Transition. The focus lies on holistic healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical—while also providing social and educational resources to equip women for life after overcoming addiction. Operated as a nonprofit, the center maintains affordably low fees and prioritizes lasting recovery, regardless of the time required.
In Level 1 (14 weeks): Recovery, participants engage in classes aimed at identifying and transforming harmful thought patterns and beliefs, understanding the unmet needs that led to substance use, and acquiring techniques to manage cravings.
Level 2 (12 weeks): Renewal encourages residents to address the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual issues that often underlie addiction.
Level 3 (12 weeks): Restoration and Healing focuses on helping residents discover their life’s purpose and navigate towards a substance-free future, establishing a strong foundation by unveiling their unique skills and strengths.
Level 4 (12 weeks): Transition emphasizes actionable steps, as residents seek job opportunities and housing, learn to effectively manage their time and resources, and develop leadership skills to contribute positively to their communities.
