MARR

Established in 1975, MARR Addiction Treatment Centers is a private facility that provides long-term residential rehabilitation services for both men and women. Their mission is to facilitate enduring recovery through comprehensive, gender-specific treatment programs of the highest quality. MARR operates two residential facilities in Georgia, with the women’s center situated in Lawrenceville and the men’s center located in Atlanta. The center supports individuals grappling with the consequences of substance abuse, specifically drug and alcohol dependence. Each residence incorporates both individual and group therapy sessions. Individual therapy techniques include psychiatric assessments, education on addiction, and strategies for preventing relapse. Group therapy options encompass cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exploring family dynamics, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), yoga sessions, and spiritual counseling. MARR prioritizes a sense of community during the recovery journey, providing various activities and groups focused on life balance and relationship boundaries. Additionally, MARR features a specialized program for disordered eating, offering clients consultations with a registered dietitian, group meals, education in mindful eating practices, and access to 12-Step recovery meetings for eating disorders. MARR’s treatment approach involves distinct phases for both men and women: Phase 1 lasts for 6 weeks, Phase 2 for 8 weeks, and Phase 3 extends for 12 weeks or longer. The center includes amenities such as volleyball and basketball courts, and organizes trips to nearby shops and nature hikes. Accommodations are shared and separated by gender. MARR has implemented a COVID-19 protocol that mandates antibody testing for clients prior to their admission.

The center focuses on addressing issues related to substance use disorders, offering assistance to achieve stabilization, develop strategies for preventing relapse, and access to empathetic care and support.

Our facility collaborates with insurance companies as an out-of-network option to assist in covering expenses related to outpatient addiction rehabilitation.
