About
Situated just west of Green Bay, a short distance from Ken Euers Nature Area, Adult and Teen Challenge Northeast Wisconsin provides a faith-based approach to substance use recovery for men in the region. The center offers a comprehensive 12-month program focused on personal and spiritual development alongside treatment. This program incorporates a four-tiered educational framework, community service, counseling, relapse prevention techniques, goal-setting, and aftercare support.
The curriculum consists of four distinct levels: Accept, Heal, Discover, and Practice. In the Accept stage, participants learn to identify and acknowledge detrimental thought patterns and behaviors linked to substance abuse while fostering a reliance on divine guidance. During the Heal phase, clients utilize insights gained in the earlier level to confront and modify unhealthy patterns, thereby enhancing their decision-making and interpersonal relationships. The Discover phase encourages individuals to substitute harmful behaviors and thoughts with healthier alternatives inspired by spiritual principles. Lastly, in the Practice stage, clients develop personal objectives and plans for life after completing the program, focusing on job and educational opportunities that will facilitate their success.
Family visitation is promoted, with specific hours set aside for this purpose. Participants engage in weekly community service, which helps them develop essential life skills and nurtures their character. They also engage in individualized pastoral counseling and various spiritual activities that support their overall growth. The center provides exercise equipment to enhance physical and spiritual well-being. Graduates are invited to maintain connections through aftercare services, which involve linking with local churches, recovery groups, and ongoing support from the aftercare team.
In alignment with their principles focused on recovery and spiritual enhancement, personal electronic devices and smoking are prohibited on-site. However, participants can utilize a phone during specified hours. Personal vehicles are not permitted, so clients must make transportation arrangements to the center, conveniently accessible via Interstates 43 and 41 for family visits and drop-offs. As Adult and Teen Challenge primarily relies on donations for funding, the cost of participation remains low compared to many residential rehabilitation centers. For detailed pricing information, please reach out to Adult and Teen Challenge Northeast Wisconsin.
