Pecan Haven

Pecan Haven is a residential rehabilitation center set within a tranquil 35-acre pecan orchard in northeastern Louisiana. Established in 2015, it focuses on assisting adult men and women facing challenges related to substance abuse. Each client undergoes a thorough assessment during the intake process to identify their specific requirements. The center provides a residential treatment program that spans from 30 to 90 days, with the possibility of extending for detoxification as needed. Additionally, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available for clients seeking continued care or those unable to engage in a full-time treatment schedule. The facility includes certified medical personnel who oversee a medically-supervised detox process, ensuring clients experience a safer and more comfortable withdrawal. Clients at Pecan Haven participate in a structured daily routine that encompasses 40 hours of clinical treatment weekly, along with both individual and group therapy sessions, evidence-based methodologies, and various group activities. Accommodations consist of multiple cabins totaling 82 beds, complemented by a multipurpose building housing a cafeteria, fitness area, and therapy rooms, in addition to recreational options such as tennis, basketball, and beach volleyball. Nutritional support includes daily meals and snacks, and the staff is well-trained to manage and administer necessary medications.

The center specializes in the treatment of addiction and related mental health issues. Each individualized treatment plan simultaneously targets both aspects, ensuring a holistic approach that emphasizes empathetic care for complete recovery.

Pecan Haven is now welcoming patients covered by the five primary Louisiana Medicaid plans: Aetna Better Health, Healthy Blue, AmeriHealth Caritas, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, and United Healthcare.
