Phoenix Center Serenity Place/Womens Residential

The rehabilitation center is dedicated to assisting expectant mothers and young women with substance use challenges. It offers a supportive living environment where women can reside with their preschool-aged children as they undergo treatment. The facility has a capacity for 16 women, each allowed to care for up to two children, with special attention given to those facing the most significant medical and recovery difficulties. The goal of the program is to facilitate substance use recovery, foster child development, and enhance family stability. Participants engage in more than 50 hours weekly of organized activities, which encompass therapy, parenting classes, and life skills instruction. This holistic approach focuses on addressing the individual's treatment requirements while also tackling the larger systemic issues impacting family health and stability. Daily life includes planned sessions, as well as both group and individual counseling, alongside parenting assistance, all structured within a consistent routine. Children benefit from care and early educational opportunities, enabling mothers to concentrate on their recovery and cultivate essential daily living skills. Most women participate in the program for several months, allowing adequate time to establish healthy habits and prepare for a transition to independent living.
