About
Release Recovery transforms the experience of recovery for individuals dealing with substance use issues, led by a founder with extensive personal experience in long-term recovery and a dedicated team of professionals and peers who understand the journey. They cater to clients' unique needs through a day treatment program that combines either daytime or evening sessions with supportive community housing, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) featuring 12 hours of structured programming each week, and an outpatient track for those stepping down from more intensive care.
At Release, the process of healing starts physically and expands into a sense of community. They employ a compassionate therapeutic approach that assists clients in recognizing how early life experiences influence their current feelings and responses. Clients might find themselves engaging in calming breathing or movement exercises, followed by individual therapy sessions to explore recurring behavioral patterns, and then participating in skill-building activities in supportive group environments.
An on-site physician is available to carry out initial evaluations and to manage medication, including options for medication-assisted treatment which many clients depend on. Crucially, the community that clients build at Release often becomes a supportive second family, creating an atmosphere where recovery is seen as a hopeful and enjoyable journey.
Entering Release’s clinic in Westchester is like stepping into a tranquil, thoughtfully designed home filled with natural light, greenery, and cozy seating that encourages clients to relax and share openly. Their premium transitional housing for men includes overnight staff, case managers, and medication supervision if needed, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and structured environment.
The aftercare program at Release fosters a genuine and human approach to maintaining recovery, offering weekly alumni Zoom meetings, daily breathalyzer checks, and regular sessions with case managers. Clients are given numerous low-stress opportunities to stay connected within the community, with invitations to drop by the house for coffee or participate in inclusive events like their lively alumni barbecue.
