Sheepgate Men's Program

Furthermore, Sheepgate supports individuals seeking to obtain their GED if they have not already done so. Sheepgate features two residential facilities. Initially, men reside in Colfax, Iowa, during the early stages of their recovery, before transitioning to a historic home in Omaha, Nebraska, where they can apply their learning in a more supportive environment with increased independence. The first seven months are spent in shared, dormitory-style living arrangements in Colfax, where cleanliness and participation in work tasks—such as yard maintenance, feeding animals, and daily chores—are integral to the experience. The final phase takes place in Omaha, allowing participants to pursue employment and explore new interests while focusing on their sobriety. The center proudly reports a 70% success rate. Upon entering the program, residents are required to pay a nominal intake fee of $750. The ongoing commitment to recovery is crucial, and the dedicated staff at Sheepgate is genuinely invested in the well-being of every participant.
