The Fullbrook Center is a specialized facility designed for women, offering a refuge and support for those facing challenges related to substance abuse, mental health issues, and trauma. Located in Fort Worth, this outreach center focuses on connecting women with essential treatment resources. Fullbrook provides a range of services, including detox, residential treatment, a day treatment program (partial hospitalization), and an intensive outpatient program. It holds ASAM Level 3.7 care certification, is part of the NAATP, and is fully accredited by CARF. Employing the 12-Step principles alongside various therapeutic modalities, Fullbrook addresses substance dependence, co-occurring mental health disorders, and trauma in both individual and group therapy settings, as well as family sessions. The center incorporates educational elements and experiential therapies, such as equine-assisted therapy, psychodrama, music therapy, and art therapy, enabling women to process and articulate their emotions. Additionally, Fullbrook utilizes somatic experiencing, a body-focused therapy to manage trauma's physical effects, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for reprocessing painful memories. Each patient receives a personalized clinical aftercare plan suited to their unique needs, typically involving a commitment to therapy sessions over a period of 90 days. Aftercare options may also encompass psychiatric care, transitional housing, outpatient clinical services, and other supportive resources. Women are encouraged to return to The Fullbrook Center to offer mentorship and support to fellow patients on their journeys to recovery.
