The Shoulder Mobile

The Shoulder is a faith-based non-profit facility located in Mobile, Alabama, dedicated to assisting women in their journey to overcome drug and alcohol dependency. The center provides two distinct residential programs: a high-intensity track that features 25 hours of therapy each week and a low-intensity track that encourages participants to work while undergoing treatment. The high-intensity program offers round-the-clock support from a registered nurse and is designed to immerse clients in recovery-focused activities. Conversely, the low-intensity program accommodates work commitments, including enjoyable monthly group events, and functions similarly to a sober living or transitional housing arrangement. Utilizing evidence-based methodologies such as individual and group counseling, The Shoulder empowers women to break free from substance misuse. Both programs emphasize spiritual development, a 12-step recovery approach, and tailored care, allowing participants to maintain their jobs during treatment. Following their time at the center, women have the opportunity to transition into supportive living arrangements for ongoing assistance and reintegration into the community. To enhance accessibility, the center implements a sliding scale for fees.
