Waypoint Recovery Center

Waypoint Recovery Center focuses on addressing both substance use disorders and co-occurring medical issues. Before beginning treatment, clients receive a comprehensive clinical evaluation along with a biopsychosocial assessment. While detox services are not provided on-site, the center can connect individuals with nearby detox resources if needed. Those admitted to the program will engage in structured therapy sessions, where individual therapy emphasizes evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Group therapy prioritizes psychoeducation, covering areas like life skills development, emotional processing, recognizing triggers, relapse prevention strategies, and mindfulness practices. Participants are also required to attend 12-Step meetings or SMART recovery sessions once a week. The Waypoint Recovery Center believes in providing holistic therapies, including art therapy, journaling, and meditation, to honor each client's unique journey. Situated in Cameron, South Carolina, Waypoint Recovery Center boasts a stunning facility set on 50 acres of private land. It features 35 accommodations designed with a rustic log cabin aesthetic, with separate housing for each gender. Beyond the comfortable living spaces, the center offers large meeting rooms, an exercise area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and shared spaces featuring cable TV and WiFi. Clients enjoy three meals a day, including snacks. Waypoint Recovery Center delivers comprehensive care in a serene environment, holding accreditation from the Joint Commission and accepting various private insurance plans.

The rehabilitation center specializes in addressing issues related to substance use and associated mental health challenges. Each individual's treatment plan is designed to tackle both conditions simultaneously, offering individualized and empathetic care for total recovery.

We are presently partnered with BlueCross/BlueShield and UBH for outpatient services. Additionally, we collaborate with a variety of insurance providers, and we can assist in creating a payment plan for any remaining balance not covered by insurance.
