YSS of Boone County

YSS of Boone County is a center dedicated to aiding young individuals and their families in Boone County, Iowa. The facility provides a variety of behavioral health services, including mental health therapy, substance use treatment, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, behavioral health interventions, integrated health services, and a program for access and visitation. They also specialize in family and child-focused therapies such as parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), multidimensional family therapy (MDFT), and play therapy. YSS of Boone County has a program for transitional living as well as a rapid rehousing initiative. The transitional living program offers homeless youth and young adults aged 16-21 a secure living situation with personalized assistance aimed at helping them achieve their objectives. Participants may remain in the program for up to 18 months and are encouraged to save a portion of their income for future use. For youth aged 18-24, the rapid rehousing program allows them to live independently in an apartment under their lease while receiving rent support for a duration of 12 months. Additionally, for survivors of human trafficking, YSS covers 100% of their rent and utility expenses for a whole year.
