YSS of Ames functions as the main facility for YSS, delivering a diverse array of services designed to assist youth and their families within the community. Housed in a historically significant building, the center features a counseling clinic, an emergency shelter, and the Ember Recovery program for residential addiction treatment. The Rosedale Shelter, recognized as Iowa's inaugural youth shelter, offers a secure environment for youth in crisis, supplying food, clothing, and vital support.
