About
Situated in Norman, Oklahoma, Living Hope Eating Disorders Treatment Center provides comprehensive care for individuals of all ages and genders. The center features a diverse group of professionals, including doctors, psychologists, counselors, and nutritionists, who collaborate to address various eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, PICA, ARFID, OSFED, and rumination. In addition to their focus on eating disorders, Living Hope pays attention to each individual's specific requirements, including challenges related to mood disorders, trauma, body image, and societal pressures. Tailored treatment plans encompass nutrition management and oversight alongside therapeutic modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and options for art therapy. The center features a residential program with 12 beds and also provides day treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient services.
Surrounded by trees, the residential facility offers clients access to gardens, walking paths, outdoor lounging areas, and a swimming pool. Living Hope ensures round-the-clock medical supervision, including medical stabilization and regular assessments with the Medical Director. Clients engage in weekly dietary consultations, monitored daily weight checks, vital signs tracking, staff-assisted meals and snacks, and meal coaching support. Therapeutic engagement consists of 2-3 weekly therapy sessions, along with a psychiatric evaluation as part of the overall treatment strategy. Once each month, Living Hope organizes Family Day, along with weekend visiting hours and family therapy sessions considered as needed.
Living Hope’s Day Treatment, or Partial Hospitalization Program, operates five days a week for nine hours each day, focusing on personalized treatment plans, medical assessments, therapy, dietetic counseling, staff-supported meals and snacks, as well as monitored daily weight and vital sign checks. Art therapy and group sessions are part of the daily routine, with culinary skills groups included for 6-8 hours each day. The Intensive Outpatient Program maintains similar features but occurs for 3.5 hours daily, up to five days per week, with sessions available in either the morning or afternoon. Both Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programs host a monthly Family Day event. The outpatient service begins with a detailed two-hour health evaluation and physical examination. Outpatient psychotherapy, counseling, and nutrition sessions cater to individuals or families, including children younger than 12. Living Hope also operates an Outpatient Clinic in Bentonville, AR, where clients can access a range of outpatient treatment services.
