About
Acenda Integrated Health, often referred to as Acenda, is a nonprofit organization focused on providing behavioral health services across New Jersey, featuring an array of more than 100 essential offerings. It caters to individuals of all ages as well as families, with a particular emphasis on supporting at-risk demographics. Acenda holds accreditations from both the Joint Commission and the state of New Jersey.
Adopting an evidence-based methodology, Acenda incorporates popular therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), alongside medication-assisted treatments (MAT) and medication management. These medications are aimed at alleviating cravings related to substance use or mental health issues, empowering clients to concentrate on their recovery and work towards sustained improvement. Typically, the duration for these therapeutic services is between 12 and 16 weeks.
In addition to standard therapies, Acenda has expertise in more specialized treatments like parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) for applicable cases. They also customize their programs to accommodate veterans, individuals on the autism spectrum, expecting mothers, and parenting women with children aged three and under.
Acenda provides access to its services through both a physical facility and a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. They offer traditional outpatient care as well as a more rigorous intensive outpatient (IOP) program, ensuring clients receive the appropriate level of therapy each week, tailored to fit their personal schedules. The center is conveniently located within close proximity to Philadelphia.
To fulfill its commitment to family support, Acenda features initiatives such as Prevention & Parent Education Offices and a Family Success Center, specifically designed for this purpose. They host free monthly events aimed at fostering healthy bonding between parents and children. Furthermore, Acenda assists individuals and families in need of shelter by connecting them with nearby accommodations, including the Ruth London Homes at Life Link.
