About
Acenda Integrated Health, often referred to as Acenda, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to behavioral healthcare, providing a diverse range of over 100 services across New Jersey. It caters to individuals of all ages and families, with a focus on those at risk. The center is accredited by both the Joint Commission and the state of New Jersey.
Utilizing an evidence-based methodology, Acenda incorporates popular therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), alongside medication-assisted treatments (MAT) and management. These medications are designed to alleviate cravings associated with substance use or support mental health, enabling clients to concentrate on their recovery efforts. Typically, these treatment programs last from 12 to 16 weeks.
Additionally, Acenda is skilled in implementing less traditional therapies like parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT) when necessary. They are adept at customizing their therapeutic approaches to address the specific needs of veterans, individuals with autism, expectant mothers, and mothers with young children under three years of age.
Services are available both at the physical site and through their HIPAA-compliant online platform. Acenda offers standard outpatient services as well as a more intensive outpatient (IOP) program, ensuring clients receive appropriate therapeutic support throughout the week in a manner that suits their schedules. The center is conveniently located in a tourism-friendly area near the Great Sound.
In line with Acenda's commitment to family support, it hosts initiatives such as Family Preservation Services and the Family Success Center, which are aimed at fostering family unity. Furthermore, Acenda organizes complimentary monthly activities designed to promote healthy bonding between parents and youth.
