From the outset, clients begin to work on their ongoing care strategies. The center involves family members in the therapeutic process through family therapy sessions. Additional therapeutic approaches utilized at AdCare Hospital include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Clients have weekly meetings with their assigned counselor. AdCare Hospital features two tiers of residential care tailored for individuals with co-occurring mental or medical health challenges that need clinical attention. Their acute residential services are available for those with relatively stable conditions. The center’s crisis stabilization program provides necessary medication and therapy to help stabilize issues related to mental health and addiction. Admissions can occur directly from emergency departments or psychiatric facilities. At AdCare Hospital, clients participate in group therapy sessions that last between 5 to 7 hours daily, with specialized groups designed to cater to veterans, first responders, and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. The center also offers holistic and wellness options, including art and music therapy, gym facilities, basketball, and acupuncture. Clients reside in comfortable semi-private accommodations and receive round-the-clock supervision from the staff. Upon completion of their program, each client formulates a detailed aftercare plan and becomes part of AdCare Hospital’s alumni network, which gathers every Thursday evening for continued support.
