About

Situated in the heart of Bend, close to Pilot Butte, the Adult and Teen Challenge Central Oregon Men’s Campus provides a faith-based rehabilitation program specifically designed for men facing challenges related to substance use. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, there are now nearly 250 Adult and Teen Challenge facilities throughout the United States and more than 1,000 across 95 countries worldwide. The programs in the Pacific Northwest require an initial fee of $500 at admission, while participants incur no further monthly charges for the duration of their treatment. The Central Oregon Men’s Campus offers a comprehensive one-year program and accommodates up to 20 men. Those arriving by car have convenient access to both Highway 97 and Highway 20, while public transit users can utilize Bus Line 1, which stops at 3rd Street and Dekalb Avenue. The Bible-centered curriculum at Adult and Teen Challenge emphasizes three key objectives: healing from the turmoil associated with substance use, restoring relationships with Jesus Christ and others, and fostering transformation through a foundation in Christ. Throughout their stay, participants engage in sermons, Bible studies, prayer sessions, spiritual retreats, and vocational training. Life Renewal clinical counseling provides behavioral health support incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strategies for preventing relapse, all from a Christian viewpoint. Notably, Adult and Teen Challenge does not have medical personnel on staff, so individuals must complete detoxification prior to joining the program. To promote a focus on rehabilitation, communication is restricted to immediate family, and electronic devices are prohibited. In line with the mission of assisting participants in recovering from substance use, smoking is also prohibited on the premises.

Providers Policy

At Adult and Teen Challenge Central Oregon Men's Campus, we strive to make our Christ-centered treatment program accessible to all who seek help for substance use concerns. Our program operates on a straightforward fee structure, charging a one-time intake fee of $500. This fee covers the entirety of the one-year program with no additional monthly costs. While we do not accept insurance directly, we encourage potential clients to explore options for reimbursement from their insurance providers for the intake fee, as some plans may offer coverage for treatment services. It is important to note that participants must have completed detox prior to entering our program, as we do not provide medical staff on-site. This commitment to maintaining a focused and supportive environment for recovery entails certain guidelines, including limited contact with individuals outside of immediate family and a prohibition on electronic devices and smoking. We believe in fostering a transformative recovery experience through our Bible-based curriculum and various therapeutic supports. If you have further questions about payment options or how our program may fit your needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to our admissions team. We are here to support you on your path to healing and renewal.
