Located in La Crescent, MN, Angel’s House of Healing is a rehabilitation center designed for women aged 18 to 55 who seek to overcome addiction and strive for a healthier life. This facility welcomes women on probation or those transitioning from treatment, all of whom are committed to maintaining a drug-free existence. Angel's House fosters a supportive environment where residents participate in recovery meetings outside the home, acquire essential financial and vocational skills, cultivate wellness habits, undergo drug screenings, and offer mutual encouragement. Adopting a comprehensive strategy, Angel's House of Healing aims to nurture the mind, body, and spirit, empowering each woman to recognize her intrinsic value and wholeness. By the conclusion of the program, residents are expected to feel strengthened in various aspects of their lives, including financial and emotional well-being. Initially, participants go through a 7-day blackout phase to initiate their healing journey and break away from detrimental behaviors. During this time, they may only leave the premises for job interviews, work commitments, or authorized medical appointments. The center maintains house rules designed to ensure safety and accountability, which residents agree to upon admission. These guidelines outline a daily structure, including off-site recovery meetings and group coaching sessions. Additionally, a curfew of 11 p.m. is enforced, along with designated quiet hours, and respect for shared living spaces is paramount. At Angel’s House, daily life incorporates work, education, physical activity, chores, and engagement in outpatient recovery programs. The residence offers a safe, comfortable environment with options for shared or private accommodations, and the back patio serves as a space for social interaction. Only approved visitors, such as case workers, social workers, and probation officers, are permitted. Amber, who founded Angel’s House of Healing, successfully navigated her own recovery journey and found strength through the support of her community. Inspired by her personal experiences, Amber is dedicated to providing hope and guidance to other women in need. The center is named in honor of her mother, Angel.
