About
APPLE is a private outpatient facility dedicated to assisting children with autism and related behavioral challenges in developing essential life skills. Established in 2005, the center provides evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and personalized support aimed at enhancing communication, social interaction, emotional stability, and independence. Services are offered throughout the year with adaptable scheduling options to accommodate family needs during school hours, after school, or at home.
Therapeutic interventions at APPLE are tailored to each child, utilizing a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach that includes skill-based treatment (SBT). The process begins with an intake assessment, leading to a customized plan that aligns with the objectives agreed upon by parents and clinicians. The methodology relies on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, fostering an environment where children can feel secure, comfortable, and engaged while acquiring new skills. Therapists and board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) monitor progress daily and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Families also receive ongoing support to implement strategies at home, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the therapy.
Support for children is available in the clinic, at their school, or in their home, depending on what is most beneficial. The Bothell clinic encompasses 14,000 square feet of inviting space, featuring classrooms, kitchens, sensory play areas, and quiet zones for focused learning. Home-based therapy allows children to learn in a familiar context, while school-based services cater to students in both public and private institutions across King and Snohomish counties. In all environments, therapists collaborate closely with parents and educators to achieve each child's specific goals, routines, and long-term development.
