blueFire Wilderness Therapy, situated in the high desert region of Southern Idaho, offers a premier wilderness therapy program designed for at-risk teenagers and young adults facing challenges related to substance abuse, as well as emotional, social, and behavioral difficulties. Their comprehensive approach emphasizes holistic healing and the application of proven therapeutic techniques. The program is available for pre-teens aged 11-14, teenagers aged 15-17, and young adults aged 18-28, offering an immersive experience that promotes personal growth and family engagement. blueFire Wilderness collaborates with select insurance providers. At blueFire Wilderness, the therapeutic model combines research-supported counseling, outdoor explorations, academic guidance, and a focus on family dynamics. This wilderness therapy program for vulnerable youth is designed to help them navigate challenges and realize their full potential. Weekly activities commence at the main camp, where participants engage in a variety of individual and group therapies, equine-assisted therapy, meal preparation, cleanup tasks, and preparations for their outdoor excursions. A typical day includes adventurous pursuits such as rock climbing, mountain biking along scenic trails, or canoeing and kayaking, all carried out in a group setting.
