Caz Recovery Unity House

Caz Recovery Unity House is a residential facility focused on community-style recovery for adult men facing challenges with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Situated in the eastern part of Buffalo, this center accommodates up to 24 men and provides essential reintegration services by linking residents to outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, as well as primary and specialty medical care, and vocational or educational support. Their primary focus is on assisting adult men who are dependent on drugs or alcohol and may be experiencing or at risk of homelessness. At Caz Recovery, each individual receives personalized attention to establish their specific recovery objectives and treatment requirements. The duration of stay for participants can range from a few weeks to several months, tailored to each individual's care plan. Clients engage in both individual and group therapy sessions, receiving trauma-informed and holistic care. The program offers daily life skills training, case management, and strategies to prevent relapse, promoting self-sufficiency and independence among participants. Unity House is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities and provides semi-private accommodation, on-site meals, and a recreational area for group activities. Its prime location allows easy access via a major bus route, with alternative transportation options available if needed. The program is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports to deliver reintegration services and is managed by the Erie County Department of Mental Health.
