ChildSavers is dedicated to delivering mental health services to children and families in Richmond. They assist youth who are dealing with trauma, behavioral issues, and experiences of domestic or sexual violence through various programs including outpatient services, virtual support, school-based interventions, and a 24/7 crisis hotline. Serving children throughout Richmond in various locations such as schools, clinics, and homes, ChildSavers ensures that help is available whenever it is needed. The center adopts a trauma-informed model that fosters resilience and emotional development in children. Their therapists utilize innovative techniques like art, play, and sand tray therapy to aid kids in expressing their emotions and building coping strategies. In addition, family therapy and psychiatric services enhance the support network for each child, promoting sustained emotional health. In addition to therapeutic services, ChildSavers provides Immediate Response, a year-round crisis service available 24/7 that offers prompt and empathetic support for children facing trauma in Richmond. They also conduct school-based initiatives within Richmond Public Schools, Hopewell City, and Colonial Heights, delivering care directly to students in their everyday environments to help with their emotional and behavioral well-being.
