Cielo Treatment Center provides individuals with the opportunity to transform their lives through innovative, locally informed care in Portland. The center focuses on assisting those struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues by fostering a nurturing environment that encompasses community support and spiritual engagement crucial for recovery. Programs include day treatment, intensive outpatient services, outpatient therapy, and sober living options, with specialized pathways designed for young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and indigenous populations. Treatment plans are tailored to address the root causes of substance use disorders, including mental health challenges, family issues, and trauma. At Cielo Treatment Center, client-centered care is paramount, featuring daily check-ins with clinicians, scheduled individual sessions, and ongoing mentorship to guide clients through their recovery journeys. A diverse array of evidence-based approaches and holistic therapies are available, including mindfulness practices based on Dharma, holistic recovery strategies, LGBTQ-affirmative support, and 12-Step programs. They also provide nutrition and wellness workshops, as well as fitness classes such as recovery-oriented CrossFit and yoga, along with opportunities for creative expression through art and music therapy. Cielo Treatment Center understands the importance of balancing recovery with daily life and offers an evening intensive outpatient program (IOP) that accommodates clients' work and personal obligations. This program includes engaging small group discussions, individualized support, and tailored services for recovery, including programs mandated by the court for DUI offenses. Cielo collaborates with local partners to ensure safe, supportive sober living arrangements nearby, beneficial for those in day treatment. Residents gain access to on-site management, mentorship, life skills training, job search help, and routine drug testing to promote accountability and growth. The aftercare program at Cielo extends for 30 to 60 days, allowing clients to participate in evening group sessions and access certified recovery mentors along with biweekly individual counseling. Recovery at Cielo is not solely focused on overcoming obstacles; it also embraces the journey of rediscovering joy and purpose. Clients engage in various recreational activities that uplift their spirits, cultivate positive relationships, and acquire vital life skills that set the stage for a meaningful future. Cielo organizes weekly outdoor excursions, such as kayaking on the Willamette River, hiking at Mt. Hood, and snow tubing at an adventure park.
