Clementine Twin Lakes offers a residential rehabilitation program tailored for adolescent girls aged 13 to 17 facing challenges with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and exercise addiction. This facility employs research-backed therapeutic approaches, creative arts, personal skill-building, and family involvement as part of its recovery process. Therapeutic methods include individual counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and training in life skills. Within the center, residents have the opportunity to engage in healthy practices such as journaling, managing their time effectively, performing household tasks, making decisions, and coping with peer influences. Family members are also encouraged to take part in weekly therapy sessions, educational programs for parents, family dining experiences, and larger multi-family gatherings. In addition to medical and psychiatric support, Clementine Twin Lakes provides educational assistance and reintegration services for the young women in its care. They aim to enhance understanding of the risks linked to co-occurring conditions, such as substance abuse, mood disorders, and trauma. Upon leaving the facility, both clients and their families receive tailored meal and exercise regimens. The center features a range of expressive therapies and recreational activities, including game and movie nights, free time for creative pursuits like pottery and jewelry-making, weekly movement sessions, expressive movement therapy, and dance. Furthermore, Clementine organizes outings to museums, bowling alleys, grocery stores, and restaurants. Located to the west of Washington, DC in Clifton, the center is set on a spacious green campus and includes vibrant interiors, relaxing indoor and outdoor areas, shared accommodations, a yoga studio, and an academic center. Clementine Twin Lakes is accredited by the Joint Commission and collaborates with various public and private insurance providers.
