Four Winds Hospitals Westchester

Located in Katonah, a tranquil area approximately 75 minutes north of New York City, Four Winds Westchester provides specialized care for children aged 5 and older, teenagers, and adults facing mental health challenges within its 88-bed private psychiatric facility. The center implements individualized treatment strategies that encompass cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and medication management. Accredited by the Joint Commission and certified by the state of New York, their services include residential, day, and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. Residents are permitted to use cell phones and have Zoom meetings at the close of each day. Four Winds offers admissions around the clock, including for clients who may be admitted involuntarily. The center's name is inspired by a biblical verse in Ezekiel 37:9-10, which speaks of breath coming from the four winds to give life. For adults, the facility provides residential, day, and IOP programs. Teenagers can access both residential and day treatment options, while the center offers residential care specifically for children. The campus has designated areas for children and adolescents, both of which include educational components. Visitors are welcome at Four Winds, with up to two adult visitors allowed per week by appointment for one hour. For those unable to visit in person, Zoom consultations are also available.

Four Winds accommodates various forms of insurance, including Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, New York State Medicaid (for individuals under 22 and those over 65), Managed Medicaid across all age groups, as well as Medicare.
