About
The Life Recovery House is dedicated to supporting women aged 21 and older who are dealing with substance use disorders. This licensed, faith-oriented halfway house provides 3.1 inpatient, non-hospital residential care. The center features a comprehensive six-month program designed to help each woman navigate her recovery journey through a solid structure, a supportive community, and spiritual guidance. Accommodating up to 28 residents, the facility is staffed around the clock.
Their methodology combines proven therapeutic practices with spiritual assistance. Participants engage in individual therapy, group sessions based on 12-Step and faith-centered principles, relapse prevention resources, temperament and trauma-informed therapies. Daily activities include prayer, Bible study, and meditation. Additional classes cover essential life skills, nutrition, art, yoga, and drumming.
Residents are offered comfortable living arrangements with shared bedrooms, clean facilities, and wholesome meals. The serene backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains fosters tranquility, while nearby destinations like Ohiopyle and Falling Water provide opportunities for enjoyable, sober excursions. The center ensures transportation is available for off-site meetings, appointments, and activities. It nurtures a spiritually enriching community that empowers women to develop, discover their purpose, and embrace the rewards of recovery.
To be eligible for Life Recovery House, clients are required to maintain at least 21 days of sobriety and comply with all house regulations and staff guidelines. Regular attendance at both house and off-site recovery meetings is mandatory. Residents must also engage in work, education, outpatient therapy, or community service, along with actively participating in a 12-Step program under the guidance of a sponsor. Random screenings for drugs and alcohol take place regularly.
Clients are expected to rise by 7:00 AM, with their rooms prepared by 8:00 AM. Weekly chores are assigned, and participation in the Three Phase Program of Treatment is essential throughout their residency.
