Harmony Bridgeport is an outpatient facility that caters to children, teenagers, adults, and couples facing mental health challenges and substance use issues, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains. The center addresses a variety of conditions including ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, depression (including postpartum depression), obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, sleep problems, impulse control issues, mood dysregulation, sensory challenges, suicidal tendencies, self-harming behaviors, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, binge-eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, and dependencies on alcohol, opioids, and other substances. Their approach integrates evidence-based therapies, biomedical interventions, and medical care. Treatment modalities include acceptance and commitment therapy, behavioral activation, cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, family therapy, humanistic therapy, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness practices, neurostimulation techniques, psychodynamic therapy, as well as medications for depression and substance use such as Spravato and medication-assisted treatment. Harmony accommodates both individual clients and couples, with admissions available either directly or via referral. Their couples therapy emphasizes open communication and collaborative problem-solving. The Recovery-based Outpatient Opioid Treatment Services (R.O.O.T.S.) program at Harmony employs medication-assisted treatment to help clients recognize the effects of addiction. The center primarily offers buprenorphine (Suboxone) but can also utilize naltrexone (Vivitrol) or other medications when necessary. In addition to their primary location close to the North Central West Virginia Airport, Harmony operates four other sites in the West Virginia mountains that provide comparable outpatient services along with a virtual therapy option. They are a member of the broader Transformation Care Network, which extends outpatient treatment across the East Coast and the Seattle region.
