Hidden River Healing

Hidden River Healing is a residential facility designed for teenage girls aged 11 to 20 who are facing challenges with eating disorders. Established in 2019, the center focuses on treating eating disorders alongside any related mental health issues. The program is managed by a skilled team of professionals and includes a variety of therapies such as individual counseling, medical evaluations, nutritional guidance, art therapy, recreational therapy, group sessions, and family involvement. Hidden River ensures around-the-clock nursing care and offers therapeutic activities like safe exercise, dining out, gardening, and more. At Hidden River, students in middle and high school benefit from tailored academic support for two hours each day, from Monday to Friday. A certified educator works in conjunction with the student's school district and counselor to ensure they are provided with necessary assignments, helping them to either catch up or maintain their academic progress. Nestled on a picturesque 12-acre property in Chester, Morris County, Hidden River features a 22-bed residence that was built in the 1920s. The house has been significantly updated and modernized while preserving its historical appeal. The welcoming communal areas feature large windows that provide lovely views of the grounds. The bedrooms and bathrooms are tastefully decorated, and multiple patios allow easy access to the surrounding outdoor spaces.
