House of Freedom Puerto Rico

House of Freedom was established by Pastor Esteban Morales, a native of Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. He earned a degree in Medical Technology and practiced in that field for a time before succumbing to a severe addiction to drugs. At the age of 25, his life changed when he encountered Jesus Christ during an event led by international evangelist Nicky Cruz, accompanied by the musical talents of Bobby Cruz and Richie Ray. On May 1, 1991, Pastor Morales, together with his wife and family, launched the House of Freedom, an establishment committed to aiding others in their recovery from addiction. The House of Freedom offers comprehensive care that includes both medical and non-medical detoxification, as well as short and long-term residential programs and outpatient care. Clients can engage in residential treatment ranging from 30 days to 15 months. Throughout their stay, individuals will participate in varied therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), relapse prevention, group sessions, educational pursuits, and recreational activities. Recreational therapy plays a crucial role at the House of Freedom, helping clients form new positive experiences. Activities may include sauna sessions, softball matches, fitness programs, music lessons, boating trips, equine therapy, and dining out. The House of Freedom operates in two locations, with the Puerto Rico site offering a pleasant and serene environment amidst a tropical atmosphere. The center upholds Christian principles and emphasizes integrity in its service to individuals seeking help.
