Little Creek Lodge was established to transform the approach to drug and alcohol rehabilitation, becoming a pioneer on the east coast when it commenced operations in 2008. This center does not allow clients to remain unnoticed; each individual possesses unique qualities, regardless of their self-esteem. Little Creek focuses on uncovering these strengths, empowering residents to accept and build upon them through 12-Step principles, counseling sessions, and adventure-based activities. With a capacity of 16 beds, Little Creek Recovery delivers tailored treatment for each resident and their loved ones. This intimate setting enables the facility to cultivate strong relationships with clients and their families, facilitating a deep understanding of their unique situations. The dedicated staff at Little Creek is committed to addressing the needs of clients and their families with dignity and care, acknowledging the respect that those in recovery deserve. The center specializes in meeting the distinct needs of adult men, making it particularly effective in addressing issues related to addiction and mental health. Little Creek Recovery provides a variety of treatment options, including both residential and outpatient services. Their sober living environment, known as Shane’s House, is situated on the Pennsylvania grounds. Flexible options such as partial hospitalization and comprehensive outpatient programs are available for those unable to engage in residential care. While outpatient services accommodate both men and women, residential treatment is exclusively for men, ensuring focused and relevant therapeutic experiences. The men’s residential program at Little Creek is designed for long-term care, emphasizing the 12-Step approach, peer support, and adventure therapy. The incorporation of outdoor adventure therapy has been shown to significantly enhance recovery efforts, fostering communal ties and creating enjoyable, sober experiences. During these sessions, adventure therapists utilize therapeutic strategies alongside natural settings to aid in healing. This form of therapy helps in developing personal identity and culture, boosting self-confidence, and encouraging overall growth. Activities included in the program may comprise kayaking, zip lining, mountain biking, rock climbing, swimming, horseback riding, disc golf, and various others.

Little Creek Recovery works with a variety of major insurance plans. Both Little Creek Lodge and Little Creek Outpatient Services are recognized in-network treatment providers for substance use disorders under Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Geisinger Health Plan.
