Situated just a short distance from Sea Cliff Beach in Glen Cove, Living Waters for Women provides transitional housing for women facing substance use challenges, particularly those who have been incarcerated or marginalized. Access to public transportation is convenient, as the n21 bus line stops within two blocks, connecting residents to Great Neck and various areas of Glen Cove. Established by a woman who previously facilitated 12-Step meetings while imprisoned, Living Waters for Women operates as a nonprofit dedicated to offering a supportive and nurturing environment. The center adopts a strengths-oriented methodology, focusing on enhancing clients' positive traits while addressing their challenges. Residents engage in work, volunteer, and educational initiatives at Living Waters, all aimed at equipping them for self-sufficient living.
