About
Mount Regis Center specializes in addiction recovery through customized treatment plans that follow the principles of the 12 Steps. It offers a range of care options including detoxification, residential programs, day treatment, intensive outpatient services, and aftercare support. The center collaborates with the VA community care network, ensuring that veterans receive in-network treatment. Accommodations feature 68 beds within a home-like setting that includes shared rooms.
Detoxification at Mount Regis Center is managed medically, with the option of medication-assisted therapy (MAT) when required. A dedicated team comprising physicians, nurses, and physician assistants oversees the detox process to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and provide necessary assistance. Clients can engage in therapy as soon as they are ready. The center employs evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the 12-Step approach, equine therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). Additionally, various experiential therapies like yoga, art and music therapy, a ropes course, rock climbing, and psychodrama are available. Family therapy sessions are conducted 1-2 times per week to involve loved ones in the recovery process.
A multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, family counselors, and recreational therapists, collaborates to tailor treatment for each client. Each individual is encouraged to participate in at least one therapy session weekly, while the daily schedule incorporates group therapy and 12-Step meetings. Mount Regis Center also features group exercise sessions three times weekly, covering topics such as grief and loss, relapse prevention, nutrition education, and the intersection of addiction and mental health.
Multiple levels of care are available at Mount Regis Center, with the day treatment program operating Monday through Friday, usually lasting between 10 to 19 days depending on the client's specific requirements. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers sessions in the afternoons and evenings three times a week, running for three hours each day, with virtual attendance options available. After treatment, clients benefit from three months of complimentary aftercare, which includes both individual and group therapy as needed, along with access to the extensive alumni network.
Treatment Focus
The rehabilitation center specializes in addressing issues related to substance use and simultaneous mental health disorders. Its approach involves creating a tailored treatment strategy that focuses on both conditions concurrently, ensuring a compassionate and holistic path to recovery.
