Patriot PowerUp Program

About

Patriot PowerUp is a 45-day residential facility located near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, designed for veterans facing challenges such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and traumatic brain injuries. The program integrates various levels of care, including specialized neuro-rehabilitation, three individual therapy sessions weekly, and daily group therapy that utilizes effective therapeutic methods. Accessible to veterans across the country via the VA Community Care Network, Patriot PowerUp serves as a stepping stone towards a purpose-driven life. At Patriot PowerUp, veterans receive a tailored recovery plan based on data, structured around four key stages. The initial stage, Reveal, involves gathering comprehensive health information—blood analysis, brain function evaluations, and surveys—to identify the specific needs of each participant. The second stage, Repair, uses focused treatments like hyperbaric oxygen therapy, ketamine infusions, and individualized nutrition plans to tackle brain injuries, PTSD, and depressive symptoms. The third phase, Rewire, enhances positive neural pathways through cognitive activities, psychotherapy, and real-time neurofeedback sessions. Finally, in the Retrain phase, enduring habits are established with guided exercise programs, ongoing nutritional guidance, and practical mental health education. Patriot PowerUp offers veterans private accommodations to foster a serene healing environment. The facility features a heated pool for gentle exercise and relaxation, and its pet-friendly policy allows participants' furry companions to accompany them during their stay. Veterans can also maintain contact with family and friends through cell phone access, facilitating support on their own terms. Set against a picturesque mountainous backdrop, with spaces for guided meditation and easily accessible hiking trails, Patriot PowerUp promotes a harmonious balance of physical and mental well-being. The program's 45-day intensive structure provides veterans with a comprehensive reset, empowering them to continue their progress by learning essential life skills such as nutrition, fitness, psychoeducation, and brain-training strategies within the "Retrain" framework, ensuring that their healing journey endures beyond their time at the center. By integrating with the VA Community Care Network, veterans depart with clinically sound support that is linked to long-term resources, eliminating the need for them to navigate their recovery alone.
