About
Founded in the 1950s alongside the establishment of the first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas, Recovery Centers of Arkansas (RCA) has built a robust history within the recovery sector. The organization's core mission is to "empower individuals to break free from alcohol and/or drug dependency by offering treatment programs and professional services in a respectful and dignified environment." RCA provides an extensive array of services, which encompass residential programs, intensive outpatient care, partial hospitalization, gender-specific sober living options, and sober living facilities.
The Cottage at Sibley Hole represents the latest development in RCA's efforts to support women in recovery, featuring 16 new beds that blend inviting living spaces with thorough support services. RCA’s dedication to housing solutions stems from the successful outcomes that these programs have demonstrated. Specifically tailored for women transitioning from rehabilitation, long-term housing has shown to be highly beneficial in sustaining recovery after treatment. Residents at The Cottage engage in outpatient recovery, working, attending local support groups, and actively pursuing their newfound sober lifestyle.
Moreover, RCA has established a partnership with the Veterans Affairs department, providing essential support services to veterans currently receiving treatment at a nearby Veterans Hospital. These services, which play a critical role during times when treatment is not in session, include supervised housing, nutritious meals, transportation, and laundry facilities, all essential in creating a nurturing environment that complements the primary care received at the hospital.
