Nestled in the serene Upper Catskills region of New York, Rippling Waters is dedicated to supporting men in overcoming addiction, trauma, and various mental health issues within a peaceful 400-acre environment. This expansive property features numerous hiking and biking trails, a 12-stall stable for equine therapy, and a picturesque lake for swimming, boating, and fishing. The lake is home to various fish species, including bass, trout, perch, sunfish, and channel catfish. There is a designated area for smoking on the premises. Rippling Waters accommodates up to 10 clients simultaneously, providing a structured schedule that balances therapy with plenty of opportunities for personal exploration. Each day incorporates group therapy sessions and psychoeducational activities. Furthermore, clients engage in individual counseling sessions 2 to 5 times weekly, tailored to their specific requirements. One therapeutic approach utilized at Rippling Waters is depth psychology, which aims to uncover subconscious feelings, beliefs, and behaviors that may be contributing to their challenges. A method known as brainspotting helps locate the origins of distressing memories and thoughts. In addition, Rippling Waters emphasizes holistic and experiential therapies, including yoga, meditation, and eco-therapy, which encompasses gardening and nature walks to enhance self-awareness and alleviate stress. Family members are welcome on-site weekly for those clients involved in family therapy sessions. Clients are permitted to bring personal devices, which will be securely stored in a central office and can be accessed at specified times.
