Nestled near Washington State Route 522 in the northern part of Seattle, Ryther is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting young individuals aged 8 to 25 through outpatient services on a serene 9-acre property. The dedicated team is committed to helping clients overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorder (SUD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and co-occurring issues. Their care options include standard outpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs (PHP), all adapted to meet the specific age and needs of each participant. Therapists facilitate individual therapy, group discussions, and family participation to promote emotional intelligence, coping mechanisms, and interpersonal skills among the youth. Clinicians incorporate medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid and substance use disorders alongside therapy and peer support, ensuring a holistic approach to care. The staff actively engages neurodivergent youth through creative activities, games, and physical movement to foster connection and enhance involvement. Ryther offers several specialized programs, including the Sage initiative aimed at supporting teens dealing with depression or emotional challenges, the Willow program for those grappling with anxiety or obsessive thinking, and the First Episode Psychosis program tailored for young individuals facing the initial signs of schizophrenia or similar disorders. Each program adheres to a well-defined daily schedule and combines peer support with therapeutic guidance to facilitate a transparent and consistent recovery journey for the youth.
